Lowe’s practice is focused on social security disability, civil litigation, and criminal and civil appeals in state and federal courts.

 

Lowe graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Business Administration and the Saint Louis University School of Law. He served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John Everett Williams on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.

 

From 2007-2015, Lowe served in the Tennessee Senate representing several counties in West Tennessee. He served on the Finance, Ways & Means, Judiciary, State & Local Government, Environment, and Transportation committees during his tenure.

 

Lowe is a Tennessee Rule 31-listed mediator for family law and civil law. He is a member of the mediation panel for the Federal District Court of West Tennessee in Jackson. He has served as a Special Master to hear discovery and sanctions disputes for the Shelby County Chancery Court.

 

In 2011, Lowe was appointed by the Tennessee Supreme Court to serve as Commissioner on the Commission for Rules of Practice and Procedure. He also serves as a hearing panel member for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.

 

Since 2001, Lowe has served as an instructor for various universities and colleges as the University of Tennessee – Martin, University of Memphis, Lambuth University, Bethel University, and Lane College for such courses as business law, civil rights, and criminal procedure.


 

Lowe is licensed to practice in Tennessee state courts and is admitted to practice in Federal District Court for the Western District of Tennessee as well as the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

 

Recent representative cases:

            - Co-counsel in plaintiff’s action against nursing home resulting in a favorable settlement for plaintiff in an undisclosed amount.

            - Co-counsel in plaintiff’s action against major shopping center resulting in settlement of $400,000.

            - Counsel for claimant in successful action for social security disability benefits involving combination of impairments, including diabetes, kidney disease, and neurological disorder.

            - Counsel for claimant in successful action for social security disability benefits involving vision impairment and cardiovascular disease.
